Green Rockets Rising After School Program 2021-22
The mission of the Green Rockets Rising After School Program is to provide students with a safe extended learning environment with opportunities to foster literacy, math, and skills necessary for success in school, college, careers and life in the 21st century.
 
Meeting Information
Monday through Friday clubs will be in-person from 3:15pm - 5:00pm
Snacks will be provided and daily transportation is available!

Session #1: September 13th, 2021 to November 23rd, 2021
Session #2: November 29th, 2021 to February 25th, 2022
Session #3: February 28th, 2022 to May 27th, 2022
Session #4: May 30th, 2022 to June 17, 2022 & July 11, 2022 to August 11, 2022
 
 
 
Club Information:
 
Latchkey Club (1 Hour AM, 2 Hour PM)
This is a new program this school year. Staff members will be available to supervise students from 6:45 AM until 7:50 AM. They are also available from 3:04 PM to 5:00 PM. The AM session is offered to students in grades PK-12. PM Session is only available for students in grades K-2.
 
Homework Club
This club meets every Monday through Friday for students in grades 3-12. Students can work in a quiet space with a teacher/staff member to receive help on their homework. There will be opportunity for outdoor play and crafts.
 
Folklore/Cryptid Club/Drawing
This club meets on Thursdays for students in grades 5-12. Students will learn about different cultures, folklore, and myths from around the world and discuss promoting cultural diversity. Students will have the chance to work on individual guided drawing projects as well, with an option of entering an art show.
 
Walking Club
This club will meet every Friday for grades K-12. We will walk outside and explore our community, while enjoying some light exercise and fresh air. We will usually be leaving the school grounds. Please dress for the weather. 
 
Cooking Club
This club will meet every Thursday for grades 5-8. This club will teach students the fundamentals of cooking and preparing healthy meals. Space is limited.
 
Arts & Crafts
This club will meet on Mondays for grades 2-3, Tuesdays for grades K-1, and Thursdays for grades 2-3. This club is designed to allow students to have fun and use their creative skills while completing hands-on projects. Students will go outside for fresh air.
 
Exploring, STEM & Games
This club will meet on Tuesday and Wednesdays for students in 2-3. It will consist of self-discovery with STEM activities, social interaction through game-play, and the possibility to explore Morristown community surroundings.
 
Book Club
This club will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday for students in grades 3-5. Students will have a choice of which book they would like to read, and a teacher will implement activities and crafts based on the book's theme. A final celebration will take place once they complete each book.
