The annual Punkin Chunkin Contest held in Clayton is coming up this weekend, and leading up to the event, Morristown students are fundraising to benefit local food pantries!
Every dollar donated counts as one pound of food for families in need. All youth teams must first collect donations for local food banks in order to participate in the contest. If you’d like to help out, you can donate on behalf of MCS by following this link.
Students taking DDP (Design & Drawing for Production) have been hard at work creating a trebuchet for this year’s competition. They’ll use it to launch a pumpkin as far as possible into the St. Lawrence River. This year’s Youth Punkin Chunkin event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. at the Clayton Pavilion at Frink Park.
