The Board of Education, administration, faculty, and staff of the Morristown Central School District are pleased to announce the class leaders for the graduating Class of 2026.
Valedictorian
Easton Willard
This year’s Valedictorian is Easton Willard. Easton has earned a cumulative average of 97.93 and will graduate with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with Honors, Mastery in Mathematics and Science, and the Seal of Civic Readiness. He will also graduate with 41 college credits. Alongside his academics, Easton serves as the Yearbook Committee President and Chief Executive Editor, National Honor Society Treasurer, and is a member of the Student Council, French Club, Morristown Wellness Committee, and Athletic Association. He is also a member of the Morristown Volunteer Junior Firefighters, serves as a student liaison to the Morristown Gateway Museum Board, is a teen ambassador to the St. Lawrence County Youth Bureau, and is a member of the Make-A-Wish National Youth Council. Easton participates in the Senior High Chorus as well as the St. Lawrence University Community Choir. He has attended All-County, Select All-County, and Zone 5 Area All-State, and is the recipient of both the WWNY Channel 7 News Academic All-Star and Arts All-Star awards. In addition, Easton has participated in the MASH Medical Health and Science Camp, the Fort Drum Regional Health Shadowing Program, where he has spent numerous hours shadowing surgeons in the operating room, and Clarkson Project Challenge studying the neuroscience of brain injuries. Easton will be attending St. Lawrence University, double majoring in biochemistry and economics with future plans of attending medical school to become a specialized surgeon. We are very proud of Easton and his accomplishments and wish him the best. Easton is the son of Ms. Bobbie-Lynn LaShomb-Willard.
Salutatorian
Joseph Kring
This year’s Salutatorian is Joseph Kring. Joseph has earned a cumulative average of 96.65, and he will graduate with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation with Honors, Mastery in Mathematics and Science, and the Seal of Civic Readiness. He will also graduate with 38 college credits and a 1410 SAT score. He is the President of both the National Honor Society and the Student Council, Vice President of the Yearbook Committee, the Treasurer of the Athletic Association, Treasurer of his Class, and a member of the French Club. Joseph has participated in the Clarkson Project Challenge studying the engineering of smart devices. Joseph will be attending either Clarkson University or Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in mechanical engineering. We are very proud of Joseph and his accomplishments and wish him the best. Joseph is the son of Drs. Lawrence Kring, III and Jane Kring.
Outstanding Career and Technical Education Student
Marshall Wright
This year’s Outstanding Career and Technical Education student is Marshall Wright. Marshall has earned a cumulative average of 94.72, and he will graduate with a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation, a Career and Technical Endorsement in Automotive Technology, and the Seal of Civic Readiness. He has also earned 35 college credits. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society, Skills USA, Student Council, Athletic Association, and a member of NYSPHSAA Student Athlete Advisory Committee representing Section X. He also has participated in Boy Scouts since Kindergarten and is working on his Eagle Project. Marshall will be attending SUNY Canton, majoring in Automotive Technology. We are very proud of Marshall and his accomplishments and wish him the best. Marshall is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel and Sandra Wright.
