On May 19, Morristown Central School District residents approved the school district’s proposed $12.2 million budget for the 2026-27 school year.
The budget, which passed 85 votes to 35, represents a 3.6% increase over the current spending plan and carries a 2.33% tax levy increase.
"We are deeply grateful to our community for their continued support of our school,” said Superintendent of Schools Staci Vaughn. “We strive to provide high-quality educational opportunities for our students, and we are excited to grow those opportunities in the year ahead."
In addition, voters were asked to elect one candidate to serve on the Morristown Central School District Board of Education. Lisa Thompson was elected to begin a three-year term on July 1, 2026.
