MCS has partnered with the Gateway Museum for a spring production, and the students are looking to community members for help as they plan.
Students are working to create an original, historically-based production that brings local history to life. This is a unique opportunity for student-actors to perform in a professional setting, as the final show will take place on-site at the Gateway Museum in May.
We Need Your Help to Make History!
To ensure this production is a success, the number of weekly rehearsals will be increasing as the performance date nears, and the technical demands of the show are growing.
The district is looking for parent volunteers to assist with the following areas:
- Prop & Set Design: Helping students create or source historically accurate props and set pieces.
- Rehearsal Support: Assisting with supervision and line drills during after-school rehearsals.
- Costumes: Helping to source, sew, or organize period-appropriate clothing.
- Logistics: Helping coordinate transportation or snacks for the upcoming longer rehearsal days.
How You Can Get Involved
Whether you can spare an hour a week or help with a single specific task, your support would be incredibly appreciated. You do not need theater experience—just a willingness to lend a hand!
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the volunteer sign-up form or email Maggie Rollins at [email protected] at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your continued support of the MCS Theater Club. We can’t wait to see what our students create with the Gateway Museum!
