Green Rockets Rising After School Program (ASP)

Dear Rocket Families,

We are excited to announce that session #3 of our After School Program will begin on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021. Below is a list of clubs being offered for this session.

Clubs

Homework Club (2 hours)

This club meets every Tuesday–Friday for students in grades K-12. Students can work in a quiet space with a teacher/staff member to receive help on their homework.  Students are expected to attend each day for which they sign up.  Space is limited, first come first serve. There will be opportunity for outdoor play and crafts.

If there is enough interest, we may offer 3 different sections: Grades K-3, 4-6 and 7-12.

Arts & Crafts (2 hours)

This club will meet Tuesdays for grades 4, Wednesdays for grades 2-3, and Thursdays for grade K-1. This club is designed to allow students to have fun and use their creative skills while completing  hands-on projects. Students will also have the opportunity to work on homework & i-Ready.

Outdoor Adventures (2 hours)

This club will meet on Tuesdays for grades K-2, Wednesdays for grades 3-4, and  Thursdays for grades 5-6. This club will consist of exploring the outdoors and walking around the village and learning about the history of our community.  Kids will need weather appropriate clothes and parent permission to leave school property. This is a great opportunity for students to get outside and enjoy fresh air and exercise.  Students will also have the opportunity to work on homework & i-Ready.

Independent Art Club and Odd Stories (2 hours)

This club will meet every Tuesday for grades 5-12. Teach self-expression via different art processes, materials, and use of symbols.  While working on art projects students can listen to odd stories.  Students will have the opportunity to work on homework & i-Ready.

Cooking Club (2 hours)

This club will meet every Tuesday for grade 7,  Wednesday for grades 5-6, and Friday for grades 8-12.  This club will teach students the fundamentals of cooking and preparing healthy meals. We will only be allowing 6-7 students per class due to COVID regulations, so space is limited. Students will have the opportunity to work on homework & i-Ready.
